The Complete Book of Survival
by: Rainer Stahlberg

As the title implies, this book is a well rounded and broad based approach to surviving any number of social stresses and disasters, either natural or man made. Probably the most significant contribution to this book is the authors advice concerning how to recognize when to act.  How to read the signs of social, economic or natural failure which necessitate taking action for self preservation.  The book provides many pointers to prepare for disaster and pull through in relative good standing. The advice is direct, simple to understand and "doable" for the average man or woman. Mr. Stahlberg does a credible job of describing his interpretation of what will happen "after" the fall; in terms of government actions, the reactions of desperate people and social structures in such unusual circumstances. Mental preparation is usually more important than any other - this book is a good means of making that preparation.

Gaslighting: How to Drive Your Enemies Crazy
by Victor Santoro

Is an ex-husband harassing you? Perhaps a neighbor won't turn the music off before 2am? Some woman at work accusing you of "sexual harassment" and you got fired? Want to get even without going to jail? "Gaslighting" originates from a 1944 film "gaslight" in which a husband systematically convinces his wife she is losing her mind. This book describes how to reduce one's opponent to a confused, quivering mass of jelly.

How to Talk Your Way Out of a Traffic Ticket
by: Highway Patrolman David W. Kelly

Having considerable experience as both a city police officer, and currently, as a California Highway Patrolman, Officer Kelly wants you NOT to get a traffic ticket. In this book he contends that the average driver, finding himself stopped by an officer, could often avoid receiving a citation by simply learning how to communicate and interact with the officer during the traffic stop. Just think, if the information contained in this book enables you to avoid just ONE traffic ticket, it will have paid for itself  a dozen times over just in the increased insurance rates one would be forced to pay.

Capture by the Indians

15 Firsthand accounts, 1750-1870 edited by Frederick Dimmer

"There is enough material here to satisfy the most exacting reader of adventure tales...and the student of psychology as well.   Most of all its a glimpse into our past rarely afforded now."

Among the pioneering men and women who pushed westward across America in search of new lands and new lives, a certain number lived through incredible ordeals as captives of the Indians.  Those who survived and recorded their stories left a legacy of eyewitness narratives that defy belief.  Fifteen of these dramatic firsthand account are reprinted here from rare volumes and old manuscripts.

After years of painstaking research, author and editor Fredrick Dimmer selected the present stories as the most interesting and unusual of hundreds he found in rare-book rooms and in the special-collections of great libraries.  Unforgettable true accounts tell of grisly tortures, blood conflicts, relentless pursuits, miraculous escapes...even the adoption of captives into Indian tribes.  By inference, the chronicles also offer a revealing picture of Indian culture-love, marriage, witchcraft, burial rituals, and much more.

HOW WAL-MART IS DESTROYING AMERICA

After cruelly carving up the once loving cared-for downtowns of Small Town America, Wal-Mart began to sink its claws into American's urban areas (racking up more than 12,000 lawsuits in the process).  Now, with the recent acquisition of England's third largest supermarket chain, the retail Goliath is stretching its tentacles beyond U.S. borders, launching a frontal assault on small towns, mom-and-pop businesses, and local traditions all over the world.

Whether you're a customer fed up with Wal-Mart's false claims, a vender squeezed by strong-arm tactics, a worker pushed to increase the Walton's button line, or a concerned citizen trying to save your hometown-this book will show you how to get Wal-Mart off your back and out of your backyard.
