The Mauser Self-Loading Pistol
By James N. Belford and Jack Dunlap

It is not the intent of this work to bore the reader with the intricate features of the Mauser pistol or its history, but to lay out as concise a description of the model variations as possible.  The locked bolt, recoil operated Mauser pistol went into commercial production about 1896, and the last examples were produced at Oberndorf about 1939.  In this period of about 43 years, very few changes were made in the mechanism of the weapon.  The history of the Mauser pistol largely concerns the change in outward physical appearance.  Therefore, this work will deal primarily with the bodily changes made in the pistol from time to time, rather than the mechanical.

8 1/2 x 11, 210 pages, TM-237   $22.95
